We are a family-owned business based in Burt, County Donegal. Just below one of Irelands best kept secrets, An Grianan of Aileagh.
Our shop is contained within Maguire's old tin hut that dates back to the early 1900's ( this was the local hub for the residents of Burt village and beyond as it was the local Post Office - Filling Station - Grocers and Hardware store, With most of the original interior intact ). Ample parking on site that is also suitable for coaches. While here, why not relax and enjoy some coffee and treats from our neighbours Curious Coffee Co, who have earned a fantastic reputation for all of their offerings and a service that is second to none.
We specialize in creating unique and handmade turf candles and candle holders (these are all designed and created by ourselves in our workshop on site). This means that we can also offer a bespoke service, catering for one off pieces or small quantity runs of items such as awards etc.
We also stock a wide range of antique - vintage curiosities that are well worth a browse.
Our candles are made from locally sourced turf and are a perfect addition to any home, adding a touch of Irish charm and warmth. Each candle is carefully crafted with love and attention to detail, making them the perfect gift or souvenir.
